Goethite Pseudomorph After Marcasite
|
Collection |
Robert Lavinsky |
Description |
A fascinating floater specimen of Goethite that has pseudomorphed a spiky ball of crystallized Marcasite retaining its crystal form perfectly. The triangular form is repeated in small sub-faces all over the crystals. Beautiful specimens from the Egyptian desert. Supposedly it is too dangerous to go get these, near the border with Libya. |
