Lustrous Sphalerite Crystal Cluster
Lustrous Sphalerite Crystal Cluster from Rosiclare Level, South-End, Denton Mine, Harris Creek, Hardin Co., Illinois

Description Very rich specimen of lustrous Ruby Jack Sphalerite on etched Fluorite. The Sphalerites have a gemmy cinnamon color, and the mirror-like luster is superb. Mined in 1986, the largest crystals exceed 1 cm in size. This is a very fine, top-quality Sphalerite from southern Illinois that is also very pretty on a shelf in any case. Ex. Ross Lillie.
