Iridescent Blue Chalcopyrite
|

Description |
Cluster of highly iridescent, bright blue Chalcopyrite crystals on matrix of micro Dolomite crystals. Purchased in Tucson in 2013 from Dan Weinrich, who says that these crystals are not treated and are naturally oxidized. Such colors in chalcopyrite are normally treated with acid, but I'll take Dan's word on it. Collection and photo of Hershel Friedman. |
