Highly iridescent Chalcopyrite, associated with Dolomite. This is a very large piece with amazing colors. According to mineral dealer Dan Weinrich, the colors on these crystals are caused from natural oxidation sources and the ones his company produces are natural are not artificially colored. This specimen was being offered by mineral dealer Dan Weinrich at the 2014 Springfield Gem & Mineral Show. |
