Description |
This is a piece of "Roasted" Gold from the famous Gold mining district of Cripple Creek in Colorado. This was the scene of a major Gold Rush in the late 1800's. This specimen contained gold underneath a layer of sulfides which was chemically burned off to reveal the Gold on the matrix.
