Transparent Cassiterite Single
|
Collection |
Robert Lavinsky |
Description |
An outstanding Chinese gem Cassiterite crystal, one of the best for the locality. These are of course not to be confused with the far more common opaque black cassiterites from Pingwu. This specimen is a deep coffee/smoky-colored crystal that was trimmed out on just the merest bit of matrix, somehow with no damage to the crystal, which is complete and displayable from all sides. |
