Intergrown, Bladed Witherite Crystals
Intergrown, Bladed Witherite Crystals from Pigeon Roost Mine, Montgomery County, Arkansas
Collection Robert Lavinsky
Description Because of their deviation, in form, from the standard witherites, these from the Pigeon Roost Mine have always had sort of a cult following (especially among Texas collectors who know their rarity.) Several, bladed, bicolored crystals are intergrown in an aesthetic manner here, making for a nice miniature. The 4 cm crystals are lustrous and, at the terminations, get very gemmy. Old material from the late 1970's.
Locality Pigeon Roost Mine, Montgomery County, Arkansas
Dimensions 4.0 x 2.5 x 2.3 cm.
