Description |
An aesthetic combination specimen from Riemvasmaak featuring several intense green Fluorite octahedrons peeking out from prismatic milky Quartz crystals. The Fluorite octahedrons are very sharp with good color, and the Quartz and iron-rich matrix can be seen behind the transparent crystals giving them a slightly yellow tint. The largest crystal measures 2cm along the edge. The Quartz is sharply formed prismatic and translucent with a slight smoky tint, and a matte to bright luster - tiny Quartz crystal between the larger ones add some sparkle. This specimen is featured on the Minerals.net 2013 contest and will be awarded to the winner. Original collection of Kristalle and Crystal Classics.
