Huge Kyanite Crystal on Quartz
|
Collection |

Description |
This is a giant crystal of Kyanite - and what is more, it is not buried in the Quartz matrix, but slanting dramatically up and off the Quartz. This crystal measures 19 cm in length by 3 cm across. It has shimmering blue color, variegated between light and stripes of dark blue. It is actually translucent too, just quite thick. As with most Kyanites, very hard to tell if the terminations are complete or not - they are always very rough and irregular. |
